My Starting Point

I believe it is safe to assume that you have interest in geopolitics, spirituality, or the tiny house movement or else you would not be visiting my blog.  Your viewing also means that you most likely have the interest and capability to see linkages in everything from the largest international political struggles currently too many to stay abreast, but I will give it a try... (Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, China Xinjiang, Southeast China Sea and territoriality (Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Japan (East China Sea), Yemen, Gaza, southern Lebanon, and a few etc.; to the Tiny House Movement which also has at its roots some element of insecurity involving personal security.

So, you are a natural "integrator" among events, and perhaps even have a vague sense of connectivity between prominent international political economy theories and your personal economic future.  You feel connected, have thoughts regarding, believe you can have an impact, and maybe believe that you can exert some control with at least positioning yourself in material and physical terms to whatever you perceive to be the end game or, outcome.  Analytical, calculative, strategic, planner, whatever you would like to label yourself.

If you buy into what I have said so far, you are no different than at least half of the human race that over the centures have preceded you.  You have two run-of-the-mill characteristics:  first, you are addicted to economic growth (as in % of GDP; as in an increase in your bank account, investments, ability to finance college for children, ability to buy that 6 series BMW, saving for retirement, etc.); however, second, and this is a little more emotionally heavy, you are primarily living a life of fear and it serves as your primary motivator. So, scale back your wants or are they powerful enough to be "demands", and find the antidote for living a life of fear.  At the root of so many illnesses, both physical and psychological, researchers are finding a sense of overwhelming fear (who wouldn't if you watch the news every night!).  The next blog, if I feel confident enough to "go spiritual" on you so early in my life as a blogger, I am going to borrow from Emmet Stone and share with you what great wisdom he has to share about replacing fear with _________.

Don't miss out on this!  Come back!
